Palace Walk is about the adventure story of Moon Rabbit, a mythical creature that lives on Moon in traditional Chinese tale. I want to make the environment colorful and tranquil as day time and night time passes in the game, also putting my ideas of what Moon Palace might look like with elements of Chinese architecture and faded white smoke (a typical feature of Eastern mythical figure).
Since it is a solo project, I cooperated with programmers and UI designer. How to program enemy AI with Moon Rabbit, day-night time shifts, how to make scores, collectable coins and enemy visually stand out in such saturated background are the major problems to solve.
